Every time they write about an event there, they're going to have to print the name of their competitor. Ouch. And second reference as what...The Forum? Joy. Sounds like a place where they hold all the GOP conventions.

I love the part of this story in which the Times' management won't tell its reporters or editors the price that was paid for the naming rights, or any terms of the deal. Reminds me of the Seattle newspaper strike a few years ago, when management for both daily papers started ducking reporters' calls ....<p>The logically illogical ending place for this pathetic piece of one-upsmanship: The Times builds a new headquarters, and the Tribune buys the naming rights: "The Tampa Tribune St. Pete Times Building."
