USA	During his freshman year at college, a Denver sports writer dubbed him "a real whizzer" because of his ability to run fast and elude tacklers. Much to his annoyance, the nickname stuck.<p>It was a name, according to biographer Hutchinson, "he did not seek, did not like and could not shake." Hutchinson is the author of "The Man Who Once Was Whizzer White: A Portrait of Justice Byron White" (The Free Press, 1998).<p>***You're not helping, Hutch.***
