(AP) … In a story Saturday about an upcoming court hearing related to the company that claims to have produced a human clone, The Associated Press erroneously reported that the company was ordered to disclose the whereabouts of the baby girl and her mother. The story also said a witness subpoena and summons issued to a Clonaid vice president were approved by a court.
In fact, at this point Clonaid has not been ordered to disclose any information. The Clonaid vice president may be asked about the child's whereabouts, but that will not be clear until the Jan. 22 hearing. Also, the subpoena and summons were issued by a court clerk, not approved by the court itself.
AP-ES-01-12-03 1748EST
