This is from the same story that I pulled the "declared/said" thing from...a New York Times piece:<p>Powell's change in posture from apostle of patience to champion of rapid action was described by one administration official observing it from a distance as ``astounding.''<p>****The author's "apostle/champion" device is "astounding." As is his use of totally unneeded quotation marks around "astounding." And how many yards away did the official have to stand to make such an observation?
