NEW YORK (Reuters) - Technology stocks rose on Monday on renewed confidence the battered sector will recover, but blue chips fell after International Business Machines Corp. sent the market reeling with its first earnings warning in more than a decade.<p>***Call me old-fashioned, but isn't IBM a "technology stock"? Where's the "renewed confidence" in an earnings warning?***

When they say "tech stocks" they mean "the Nasdaq," and the context is always one of, "when will the boom come back and make us all rich bidding up the stocks of companies with lousy earnings, cooked books and corrupt, greedy managers?"

It's nice to be here, away from all the "Ya-hooey." Have laughed even harder without pop-up ads, too.<p>Here's one from an AP business story on why Life Savers is moving its candy production
from Michigan to a factory outside Montreal:<p>100 percent bullshit
"Pernu denied published reports that the lower cost of sugar in
Canada was the main reason for the move. Kraft declined to say how
much sugar goes into Life Savers, but Mark Davis, an official with
the union that represents the plant's hourly workers, estimated it
makes up 90 percent of the candy."<p>*** Considering it's candy, I should sure as hell hope so. ***
