The original "Scooby-Doo" program borrowed some of the iconography of the 1960s hippie movement, but never overtly featured drug use, free love or homosexuality.

There's been talk about Velma being a lesbian, but I also don't think that homosexuality was ever supposed to be a common hippie cause. (Of course, I was born in 1976, so take my opinion for whatever it's worth.)<p>[ June 13, 2002: Message edited by: Sanvean ]</p>
