I noticed this study's main author was a pediatric gastroenterologist. While it was a study on obesity, the main findings of the study were that obese children seem to have far lower self-esteem and quality of life rating (according to themselves) than relatively healthier-weight children. <p>Given that the author's expertise is in children and problems with their stomach, and the AP story failed to mention any supporting team, why was so much creedence given to his findings about children's psychology?
