This is very interesting. I'm confused, though,
by Mr. Wade's final point. First he says there's more formal journalism here than there. Advantage, Brits, I must say. Hiring smart kids out of school and expecting them to learn from their more experienced colleagues (and I assume the more talented among them) makes great sense to me. <p>But then he says newspaper people here are raised by a "priesthood of non-journalists." What's he mean by that?
