Yesterday, six LAV III - massive armoured carriers equipped with mountain machine guns and grenade launchers - thundered up the road for a live firing exercise. The gunners fired countless rounds at distant targets. The rippling sound of automatic gunfire swelled and died in waves.....<p>****I have never heard of a mountain machine gun. Mounted machine gun, perhaps?
