Molly McKay said that her commute from the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria to downtown Washington was a challenge.
The Kansas native, who said she is skilled at driving in snow, said that her Mazda MPV fishtailed out of every intersection as she traveled north on Route 1. She said she encountered slippery roads, huge snowbanks that were like mini icebergs and bumper-to-bumper traffic. (Washingtonpost.com)
***"The lady will have a sloe gin fizz, and I'll have a scotch on the mini icebergs." Or "scotch on the mini incebergs and bumper-to-bumper traffic." Incidentally, there isn't very much new snow. On the face of it, Molly is not "skilled at driving in snow." ***
[ February 26, 2003: Message edited by: blanp ]
